Welsh Whiteley Architects provided interior space planning, building permit assistance, and construction-phase services for this 17,000 sq ft three story renovation.

 

The remodel encompassed three floors at the south end of the former Tongass Commercial Center, for service as First Bank's corporate headquarters. Each floor serves a different purpose for bank operations, from customer service at sidewalk level to third floor executive offices. 

 

Security was a priority in the remodel, with proximity card readers and cameras at strategic locations. Bringing natural light deep into the interior of each floor and maintaining a sense of connection among the staff were also important design goals.
