WHITE CLIFF CENTER

Welsh Whiteley Architects and Charles Bettisworth & Company (now Bettisworth North Architects & Planners) teamed up to prepare a condition survey, conceptual design and cost estimates for reusing the empty and deteriorating White Cliff School as a combination senior citizen and community arts building. Public meetings were held throughout the project to discuss ideas with the participating groups and as a way of soliciting comment from the community.

Site design included creation of on-grade access to the second floor at the back of the building. Welsh Whiteley Architects provided illustrations of the building exteriors and the senior dining room.

This project was not realized due to lack of financing at the time.
