Welsh Whiteley Architects teamed with Bettisworth North on the conceptual design of the Dana Bay Homes Affordable Housing project in Sitka.  It consisted of 12 two-story duplexes and one common building with a three-bedroom residence above. A total of twenty-five residential units were planned.

 

Each apartment unit was designed to meet "Universal Design" standards.  All ground floor units (12 total) were to have accessible routes and would have been adaptable.  A one bedroom unit and a two bedroom unit (8% of units) were to be fully equipped for physically and visual/hearing impaired occupants.
