These two 2,060 sq ft bunkhouse buildings serve dual purposes as housing for seasonal staff during the summer and as storage for vehicles during the winter for adjacent Alaska Rainforest Sanctuary and Alaska Canopy Adventures.

The open recreation, kitchen and dining space at the ground floor level of each building has glazed overhead doors for vehicle access on one side, and large windows to showcase views of Herring Cove on the other.  Shared laundry facilities, restrooms and staff offices are also located at the ground floor.

Each building has eight 2-person sleeping rooms upstairs. The repetitive nature of the sleeping rooms inspired a hybrid construction method of prefabricated modular units resting on a traditionally-framed first floor.
