In this design-build project, Welsh Whiteley Architects teamed with PK Builders of Ketchikan to design and construct a 1,600 sq ft bunkhouse replacement on an existing barge. The bunkhouse is for use by seasonal Forest Service personnel stationed in the Misty Fjords National Monument. 

 

Welsh Whiteley Architects interviewed Forest Service staff to ensure that the building would meet their needs while also meeting their budget. The facility continues to be utilized each summer.
