Welsh Whiteley Architects provided design and construction administration services to PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center for a new 2,300 sq ft suite for women's mammography, stereotactic, ultrasound, CT scan and bone density diagnosis.

 

Design goals included the provision of an engaging palate of colors and displays to promote a unique identity for the space. Careful layout of the medical equipment was necessary to fit all the required items into the area available within the existing hospital. 

 

The floor plan allows access by male patients to some of the diagnostic equipment without compromising the overall privacy of the suite for women.
