The Affordable Housing project in Sitka will consist of a 2-story building containing four individual apartments (two 1-bedroom units and two 3-bedroom units) with an approximate total area of 3,678 sq ft.

 

Each apartment unit will be built to meet the “Universal Design” standards, with units equipped and accessible for physically, visually, and hearing impaired occupants. The two ground-floor apartments (a 1-bedroom and a 3-bedroom) will be fully accessible. 

 

The project is awaiting funds for land acquisition and construction and will be constructed to meet AHFC’s GOAL Program Requirements (Greater Opportunities for Affordable Living), FHA and ADA requirements, and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS).
